Connecticut 3-20, Galway 2-9
In last Saturday evening’s sweltering heat at Gaelic Park, Connecticut had a facile victory over Galway in the junior hurling championship. Boasting of having five New York all-stars and several other top-quality student imports, Connecticut ran riot in the opening half.
Bonny Kennedy, Brian Green, Fintan O’Shea and Mark Comerford are but a few of the quality players that Pat Ryan has at his disposal this summer. Kennedy and Co. in attack rifled over some lovely points from all angles early on to put the game out of reach by intermission.
Galway, to their credit, battled to the bitter end with Enda Lohan and Sean Nolan trying their best to steady a sinking ship.
