O’Brien threatens C&W

Court papers state that Digicel accuses Cable and Wireless of delaying an interconnection agreement and is holding it back from launching services on the islands of St. Lucia and St Vincent.
Cable and Wireless shares fell sharply last week after reports that Digicel was posing a strong threat.
The Financial Times newspaper last week quoted extensively from a Cable and Wireless confidential internal report that stated that Digicel has captured 65 percent of the Jamaican market in only two years, and has monthly revenues of $16.7 million.
