The New York Ladies GAA will hold a Barn Dance / Disco to raise money for the county team on Sunday, July 30, in the Heritage bar. The raffle draw will take place at that time, with first prize a trip to the All-Ireland Football

or Hurling finals in Croke Park. Second prize is $1,000. Tickets are $20.

County Board Meeting

The New York Ladies GAA will meet Tuesday, July 25, at 9 p.m. in the Riverdale Steakhouse. All club delegate please attend.

Take Your Pick’ in Sean Og’s

The Monaghan women’s Gaelic Football Club is hosting a weekly "Take Your Pick" in Sean Og’s Tavern in Woodside on Friday nights in June and July. Tickets may be bought on the night for $5. The jackpot has not yet been won and will be $600 this week.

Project Children 5K

Project Children will hold its first 5K Run/Walk on Aug. 3 at 7 p.m. at the South Mountain Reservation in Maplewood, N.J. The course will be certified with awards to the top finishers in various categories. Wheelchair Games at Burke Rehab

The Burke Rehabilitation Hospital will host a wheelchair competition on Friday evening, Sept. 15, and all day Saturday, Sept. 16. Events include a slalom course, javelin, table tennis, shot put, discus, club throw, weight lifting, softball throw and 60- and 1,500-meter races. Details, (914) 597-2466. In celebration of National Rehabilitation Awareness Week, the Hospital is hosting an art exhibit of disabled artists also in September.
