They will play the Mayo team. Their second game will on on this Sunday at 3 p.m., also in Van Cortlandt Park, against Mayo. After both games, there will be a reception in the Lansdowne.

Sligo honors for Marren
John Marren, president of the Sligo Football Club of New York, will be the guest of honor at the Sligo Association’s annual St. Patrick’s dinner dance on March 11 at 8 p.m. in Leonard’s of Great Neck.
The Sligo Person of the Year is Raymond Conlon.
Marren is a native of Curry, Co. Sligo and has been involved in the GAA all his life, in Ireland and during his time in London before coming to the U.S. in 1963.
