Off the Field Dublin Marathon recruiting

The Joints in Motion training team is now recruiting runners and walkers for the Dublin marathon on Oct. 25. Those who sign up will receive 20 weeks of group training, round-trip air fare, hotel accommodations and prizes — all for raising a minimum of $3,600 through sponsor donations. The New York Ladies GAA All-Star trials, for a place on the panel to represent New York in the All-Ireland Junior semifinal on Sept. 11, take place on Friday evenings at 6:30 in Van Cortland Park in the Bronx.

Monaghan Fund-raiser

Chicago GAA Celebration

In celebration of the 50th anniversary of the reactivation of the Chicago GAA, the Chicago central board will hold a hall of fame dinner on May 22 at 7 p.m.in Gaelic Park. Ten Gaels will be inducted into the Chicago GAA Hall of Fame. There will be two from each decade, starting with 1949-59, selected from nominations submitted by each affiliated club and by other Gaels who are being asked to participate. Riverdale Ramble

The Can Cortlandt Track Club will host the 22nd annual Riverdale ramble 10 kilometer, 6.2 miles, on June 6.

All entrants will receive a free Coolmax singlet worth $25. Trophies will be awarded to the first three runners in all five-year age groups, both male and female. There will be three team awards.

The entry fee is $12 before June 4, and $15 afterwards. Registration will be at John F. Kenedy High School, 231 Street and Tibbett Avenue.

NICE Golf Outing

The Northern Ireland Children’s Enterprise will hold its 11th annual golf outing on June 10 at Mount Kisco Country Club. Special guest will be CBS commentator David Feherty, who will give a clinic before the tournament begins and will be the featured after-dinner speaker. Registration takes place from 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. The cost is $375 per golfer. Soft spikes are required. The cocktail and dinner only is $150 per person. Details, (914) 666-6656.

Seamus Donaghy Benefit

A drawing for a trip for two to Ireland plus two All-Ireland tickets, sponsored by Danny Moloney, of Liffey Movers, will take place June 12 in Rosie O’Grady’s, in Manhattan. Donaghy is a former Tyrone N.Y. footballer.

Wild Geese Golf

The seventh annual Wild Geese golf outing will take place July 29 in Harris Golf Course, formerly Bruce Golf Course, 1300 King St., Greenwich, Conn. Admission is $25 for dinner only and $175 per golfer. The $175 golfer’s fee covers green fees, carts, lunch, dinner, refreshments and prizes.
