Astoria Gaels AGM
The Astoria Gaels will hold their annual general meeting on Feb. 8 at 8 p.m. at McLoughlin’s Bar. All members are asked to attend and new members are always welcome.
GAA banquet
The GAA of greater New York will hold their 65th annual banquet on Feb. 13 at the Surf Club, 280 Davenport Ave., New Rochelle. Guest of honor will be Terry Connaughton. Lansdowne rugby
The Lansdowne Rugby Football Club will hold their third annual St. Patrick’s Day Rugby Tournament on Saturday, March 13, at Van Cortlandt Park, at 251st Street, in the Bronx.
The last two years have seen as many as 25 teams New York, New Jersey, Connecticut and Massachusetts, competing in Premiere, Club and Social brackets. The tournament begins at 9 a.m. and runs until mid-afternoon, with the nearby Lansdowne Bar hosting the traditional post-game socializing.
