Off the Field Leitrim F.C. elects officers

At the recent annual general meeting of the Leitrim Football Club of New York, the following officers were elected: president, Frank Brady; first vice president, Joe Taylor; second vice president, Tony Gormley; secretary, Helen Lavin; treasurer, Pat Murray; custodian, Danny Doohan; sergeant at arms, Sean Jones; delegates, Pat Gormley and Danny Doohan; alternates, Frank Dwyer and Danny Doohan; team manager, Mike Brosnan; assistant team manager, Andy Grady; selector, Paul Doherty;.

The annual dinner dance will be held on Jan. 29 at M’stro’s, Morris Park. Noel Heron is guest of honor, (formerly from Drumshambo). Pat Murray will receive the Joe McInerney Memorial Award.

Kerry victory dance

Plans are under way for the Kerry double victory dance on Feb. 6 in

the Astoria Manor.

of the year are Paddy O Connor (Faha) and Bingo O’Driscoll (Upper Camp). Louis Holland (Bantry, Co. Cork) is Clubman of the Year.

Minor Board banquet

The New York Minor Board will hold their 30th annual awards banquet on Saturday, Jan. 22, at the Polish Community Center, 92 Waverly St., Yonkers. Honorees include Danny McKenna, Celtic F.C. The banquet chairman is Kevin Lennon. For details, call him at (914) 620-1233.

Roscommon dinner dance

Roscommon Football Club will hold their annual dinner dance on Feb. 5 at the Polish Center, 92 Waverly St., Yonkers. Music will be provided by Gerry Finlay and the Cara Band. Guest of honor will be Jimmy Naughton. Other award honorees on the night will be; Joe Naughton (Senior Player of the Year), Enda Corr (Junior Player of the Year), Gerry Kelly (Club Person of the Year). GAA to honor Dooley
