Off the Field Noel Brady Benefit at the Heritage

There will be a benefit for Noel Brady, a County Monaghan native badly injured last summer in a Gaelic Football match, will be held Feb. 20 from 5-9 p.m. at the Heritage Bar, 960 McLean Ave., Yonkers. Music by Gerry Finlay and the Cara Band. Details, Dermot at (914) 476-6510.

New York GAA Meetings

The New York GAA’s senior football division will meet Wednesday at 8 p.m. at the Lansdowne in the Bronx. The junior football division will meet Thursday at 7 p.m., also at the Lansdowne.

Stamford GAA Dance

Stamford Football Club will hold a benefit dance and disco on March 25 in the Temple Bar, Bedford Street, Stamford. This event is a benefit for fire victim Fergus O’Dwyer. Details, call Brenda Costigan at (203) 359-3877.

Limerick Hurling Club

The Limerick Hurling Club of New York will hold its annual dance on Feb. 26 at Rory Dolan’s on McLean Avenue, Yonkers. Music will be provided by John Prunty and the Midlanders. Cocktail hour will begin at 8 p.m.

The guest of honor will be Limerick native and founding club member and player Kieran O’Sullivan. On his arrival in New York in the early 1980s, he played football with Cavan. The hurler of the year award will go to Eamon Shields, from Gort, Co. Galway.
