Take Your Pick’ in Sean Og’s

The Monaghan women’s Gaelic Football Club is hosting a weekly "Take Your Pick" in Sean Og’s Tavern in Woodside on Friday nights in June and July. Tickets may be bought on the night for $5. The jackpot has not yet been won and will be $600 this week.

Erin’s Rovers LGFC

The Erin’s Rovers Football Club of Chicago will hold their annual dance and $100 raffle on Friday, July 14, from 9 p.m. to 1 a.m. at The Glengarriff, 7216 W. 119th St., Palos Heights. Seattle Gaels Football Club

A 13-aside tournament in Seattle will take place July 15-16 against teams from San Diego and Los Angeles. On July 23 at 1 p.m., an exhibition game will take place in Seattle at the Irish Heritage Club picnic at Lake Sammamish State Park, near Issaquah.

Project Children 5K

Project Children will hold its first 5K Run/Walk on Aug. 3 at 7 p.m. at the South Mountain Reservation in Maplewood, N.J. The course will be certified with awards to the top finishers in various categories. Mayo GFC tour

The Mayo Gaelic Football Team of Greater New York are going on tour to Ireland in July. The flight departs July 20 and return date is optional. There are some seats available on the flight. Hospice Golf Tournament

The 7th annual charity golf tournament to benefit the Sligo-based Northwest cancer hospice unit will take place Aug. 19 on a new 18-hole golf course at Pleasantville Thunderhart, in Freehold, N.Y. Tee time is 11 a.m.

The course was previously a 9-hole course but now, with 18 holes, is able to accommodate up to 144 golfers. "This year I would ask that every golfer bring an extra golfer with them," tournament organizer John Foody said.

The cost is $100 per person or $400 per foursome; this includes green fees, electric cart, light lunch and refreshments and full course dinner. Tee sponsorship costs $100. To attend the dinner costs $25 per person. Payment must be received by Aug. 15. Checks, payable to Northwest Hospice, may be mailed to John J. County Clare Golf Outing

County Clare 2000 5th annual golf outing to benefit children with special needs at St. Clare’s School in Ennis, Co. Clare, will take place July 20 at Blue Hills Country Club in Pearl River. Sign-in time is 11 a.m. and tee-time is at noon. The cost is $100 per person or $400 per fourball. Sponsorship of a tee box costs $200. A reception and dinner will follow at Bishops with a special presentation by St. Clare’s School in honor of Inagh-born Martin Devereaux, vicepresident and business agent of Carpenters’ Local 608. Croí Golf Tournament

Croí, the West of Ireland Cardiology Foundation, in association with Temple Bar in Stamford, Conn., will host its 4th annual golfing tournament and auction on Aug. 21. The tournament will be at Silvermine Golf Club, 95 N. Seir Hill Rd. in Norwalk, Conn. Shotgun start at 9 a.m. The entry fee is $150 for an individual or $600 per foursome. The entry fee includes breakfast before tee off, green fees, cart, lunch and entry to awards dinner featuring three-hour open bar.
