Oklahoma reader wins Echo prize

The winner of the Irish Echo’s reader profile and opinion poll is James R. McHugh, of Broken Arrow, Okla. He will receive two roundtrip tickets to travel to Ireland with Aer Lingus. McHugh’s grandfather, Terrence McHugh, was a native of Cork. His maternal great grandparents were also from Ireland. McHugh was introduced to the Irish Echo by his CPA, Jim Gaynor, a Clare native who shared his subscription with McHugh before he himself subscribed. While McHugh is anticipating his first trip to Ireland, one of his daughters has just returned, paving the way for his newly-won trip to the Emerald Isle. The Irish Echo received an impressive 4,000 respondents to the survey.
