Orlando switches teams

Middle Earth’s hottest elf used to be a fan of soccer powerhouse Manchester United, who might best be described as the Yankees of soccer. But when his favorite player, David Beckham, who might best be described as the Derek Jeter of soccer, bolted for the sunny pastures of Real Madrid, Orlando’s dedication to the Big Red Machine wavered.
“Since Beckham now plays for Real Madrid,” he told London’s Sun newspaper, “I think they’re cool.”
No word on how Orlando feels about Mrs. Beckham or her new career as a solo artist. But one suspects that he prefers her old Spice-y image.
