He is also survived by his father- and mother-in-law, Edward and Olga Greenwald of Bemarest, N.J., and many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.
His funeral will take place on Thursday at 11 a.m. from St. George Church in Guilford, Conn.
Paul Hayes was born on June 23, 1971, in Dublin and raised in the tri-state area after his family moved to the U.S. He was an avid runner and recently completed the Hartford marathon. He worked as an accounting specialist for General Electric and had recently received his MBA from Phoenix University.
His funeral will start at the Funeral Home, 115 Church St., Guilford, at 10:30 a.m. and a Mass of Christian Burial will be held in St. George Church, 33 Whitfield St. Friends may call on Wednesday, Dec. 15, from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. at the funeral home.
Contributions in his memory may be made to American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals, 424 East 92nd St., 4th Floor, New York, NY 10128. The burial will take place in Alder Brook Cemetery, Guilford.
