Pearl River wins AOH convention

Delegates at the 2009 convention held in Albany last weekend voted for the downstate town in a contest that pitted Pearl River against upstate Syracuse.
In what one delegate described as a “well attended” and businesslike convention in Albany, Chip McLean of Staten Island was elected as the new state president of the Hibernians.
The convention in Pearl River is already being planned and will be held at the Hilton Hotel.
