RIGS sitdown set for Dublin

February 17, 2011

By Staff Reporter

New York Chairman Seamus Dooley is expected to attend, along with Vice Chairman Brendan O’Sullivan. The RIGS delegation has yet to be determined, but it is expected that the group will meet with incoming GAA Chairman Nicky Brennan, as well as Sean Kelly.
The GAA recently pumped some life into the Randall’s Island project, establishing a committee to investigate the project headed by former Chairman Peter Quinn. This meeting is apparently part of the committee’s investigation, and a good showing in Dublin could be a boon to the project’s future.

BYRD REMEBRANCE
There will be a mass in remembrance of Cavan native Charlie Byrd at Visitation Church at 240th Street in the Bronx, this Friday, August 12, at 8 p.m.
