The services heading for the drawer are out of Chicago, San Francisco and Washington D.C. to Shannon.
And in another blow to the County Clare airport, Delta Airlines said it would suspend its Shannon service in October. Continental Airlines will maintain its service out of Newark, however.
In addition to Aer Lingus, Delta, Continental and American Airlines operate scheduled services to Ireland.
The Aer Lingus Chicago to Shannon service will be stopped on September 1. Flights from San Francisco and Washington to Shannon will be mothballed from October 25.
