Rovers advanced in the Cup with a deserved victory in a hard fought game. The final score was Rovers Reserves 3, Islip reserves, 1.
Rovers took the lead after 10 minutes when tiny striker Eddie Beji scored.
Islip equalized 12 minutes into the second half from a penalty, and it took until the last 10 minutes for Rovers to go ahead again, Paul Keogh’s shot taking a deflection en route to the net.
Niall Coogan ended the afternoon with a solo goal in the last minute.
