Rovers on top

Rovers 1, Integral Kings 1

Rovers ended up in a three-way tie for first place after a physical encounter on Sunday. Steve Boggiano scored with a wonderful right-foot volley, and with the defense in great form, it seemed to be enough to win. However, the referee decided a challenge from Pat Brosnahan was worthy of a penalty and with their first shot Integral tied the game. Paul McGlynn worked hard, and Martin Slowey looked sharp, but the winning goal never came.

Rovers Reserves 3, Integral 0

Rovers Reserves also went top of the table after a Paul Keogh cross dropped in and Kevin Kenny fired home the second after 20 minutes. Chances were plentiful and Dean Gibson, Pierce Coyle and Keogh all should have added to the tally. It was left to fullback Nick Sebastian to wrap up the game with a neat header.

Rovers Over-30s 5, Integral 2

The old men keep knocking the goals in. Marshall McAdoo was the hero this week with a hat trick, and one each from Nigel Cunniffe and Dave Quigley; completed the scoring. Rovers were one down, so it was a good comeback. Gerry Coyle and Mark Hoctor had excellent games.
