The Irish Rovers won the Cosmopolitan Annual Indoor tournament on Sunday. Being the only LISFL team to be invited into this annual tournament, the Rovers shocked everyone with a dominant display. During the course of the six games they played, the panel of 11 players gave an all-around strong performance. The tournament included eight of the top Cosmopolitan League teams, but in the end they proved to be no match for the reigning NYS Champions. The Rovers panel consisted of Jack Stepenoski, Anton Dever, Patrick Brosnahan, Brian Vain, Tony O’Donnell, Stuart Duffin, David Quigley, David Pettites, Mark Reves and Ben Hickey, the tournament’s MVP. Coach Mark Harper was quoted as saying, "It’s great to start back after the winter break with a winning performance."
