Samantha, 15, to singanthems at IBO gala

Samantha Janna FitzGerald, 15, of Fort Lee, N. J., will be performing at the Irish Business Organization’s annual Gala Ball on October 23 at the Grand Hyatt Hotel in New York City. She will be singing both the Irish and the American National Anthems. Additionally, she will perform "My Heart Will Go On" from the movie, Titanic and "Think of Me" from the musical, "Phantom of the Opera."

FitzGerald has been singing from an early age, starting with talent shows at Fort Lee’s School #4 which she attended along with singing in the choir at Madonna Church in Fort Lee. She went on to perform solos at The Sound Tapestry of Hoboken, N. J., The Fort Lee Pops Concert at Fort Lee High School, Fort Lee’s Circle of the Arts, and The Advanced Musical/Theatre Performing Company at The John Harms Center for the Arts in Englewood as well as various other performances in the tri-state area.

Samantha is also a member of the chorus at the N.J. Science & Technology High School in Hackensack under the direction of Ms. Linda Warner. They will be performing their April Concert with the Philharmonic Society Symphony under the direction of Dr. Jeanine Wager, of Hofstra University on April 10, 1999.

Samantha studies voice under the tutelage of M’stro Anagnost, the music director and conductor of The Little Orchestra Society at Lincoln Center with Ms. Linda Warner, of Demarest, New Jersey. Samantha attends The Academy of the Holy Angels in Demarest, and lives with her parents, Kevin and Teri along with her two sisters, Vanessa and Jacqueline in Fort Lee.

Kevin FitzGerald has recently served as the treasurer of the IBO.
