SF’s O’Hare to accept Rainbow prize

Sinn FTin publicity director Rita O’Hare is in the U.S. this week to accept a peace prize presented by the Rev. Jesse Jackson’s Rainbow Coalition.

O’Hare is due to accept the prize from Rev. Jackson on behalf of party leader Gerry Adams at a ceremony in Chicago.

Her visit will also take in New York and Washington. O’Hare, who is in line to take up the job of running Sinn FTin’s D.c. office, was due to speak at a $100-a-head fundraiser at the Manhattan Club in New York Tuesday.

On Saturday, Aug. 15, O’Hare will speak at O’Neill’s, 3rd. Ave. between 45th and 46th St. at 7 p.m. All are welcome and there is no charge.
