Longtime Shamrock President Scotty Shevlin was reelected unopposed at the Cosmopolitan Soccer League club’s AGM in Queens last weekend. Shevlin has led the First Division side for 12 years.

Vice President and first team captain Robbie Walsh also won reelection unopposed, while John Guildea was voted in as coach of the senior side, replacing Paul Wilson, who gave up the position to work as Guildea’s assistant.

In other polls, Eugene Smyth retained his position as second team coach, as did third-team manager Bart O’Rourke. P.J. Doherty and Sean Keogh will assist Smyth and O’Rourke, respectively.

Sean Conlon (treasurer), Colin Barton (social secretary), and three directors — Leo O’Connor, John Moore and Dermot Clarke –complete the list of office bearers elected at the AGM held at J.J. Gilligan’s in Sunnyside.

Shamrock will meanwhile hold their annual Sunnyside 5-a-side club
