The Crest toothpaste company polled 3,500 people in Britain (we?ll spare you the Austin Powers jokes) to find out who had the worst — and best — celebrity smirks. While Shane will never be asked to endorse the company?s White Strips product line, he?s probably chuffed to know that he came in second — behind ?Pop Idol? judge Pete Waterman.
Waterman is the UK version of Simon Cowell, the adjudicator everyone loves to hate on ?American Idol.? From pictures, there doesn?t seem to be much wrong with his choppers, so it must be his manner that has Britons baring their teeth.
On the flip side, the ?best smiles? title goes to soccer god David Beckham and British TV star Melinda Messenger. Coming in a close second were Prince William and Hollywood superstar Julia Roberts.
