Slump in visitor numbers

Irish people are also traveling less as the recession bites.
Between January and July, the number of visitors to Ireland fell by 10 percent to just under 4.1 million, according to the CSO.
The number of overseas trips taken by Irish residents during the same seven months also dropped by the same percentage to 4.2 million.
The number of visitors from the U.S. in July fell by five percent compared to the same month in 2008.
