‘Sniper’ T-shirt ignites web row

A Protestant human rights pressure group, the Ulster Protestant Movement for Justice, is said to have persuaded the Irish Internet Service Provider, ANU Services, to remove the T-shirt logo, which showed the infamous South Armagh “Sniper at Work” road sign.
The sign referred to the gunman or men who killed British soldiers and RUC officers in the area using a high-caliber sniper rifle in the 1980s and ’90s.
