Being Grand Marshal of the 1985 N.Y.C. St. Patrick’s Day Parade. Have you ever marched in the New York City St. Patrick’s Day Parade? I have, with the 69th Regiment Veterans Corps. Five essential Irish albums that should be part of everyone’s music library: Any album featuring Tommy Makem. How much green do you wear on March 17th? My tie. Do you eat corned beef & cabbage on St. Patrick’s Day? How about soda bread? Yes to both. Favorite Irish film? “The Dead.” Favorite Irish book? “Greening of the White House” by Conor O’Clery. Favorite Irish song? “Fields of Athenry.” Complete this sentence: The most Irish thing about me is . . . my fatalism.
