Joan Moody was born at Ft. Smith, Arkansas, to native Texans Col. Ashton and Margaret Moody. Joan works with her sister and cousins on her father’s side in the family business, M&M Farms, Inc. The farms are located in North Texas and were established by her grandparents from land belonging to her great-grandfather. Joan has two degrees from the University of the Incarnate Word, located in San Antonio, which is also where her mother, sister and three cousins attended. Joan holds a BA in History and English and Bachelor in Business Administration and enjoys genealogy, traveling and keeping track of investments.
Joan’s family includes her sister, Peggy Hayes and her children Christopher and Stacy. Joan’s niece Stacy is married to Dr. Dirk Hays Ph.D of Texas A&M University and they have two daughters, Kiara and Marley. Joan’s brother John died some years back.
