Davis believes he has been fortunate and blessed to have been afforded with life’s experiences. He is very community minded and committed to making a positive difference in the lives of others. His measurement for success is determined by his ability for leaving a lasting and positive impression on those he has touched, while also bridging a divide whenever necessary. His attention and passion for change has been demonstrated by his involvement with a variety of community organizations, just to mention a few, such as the Boys & Girls Clubs, Big Brothers & Big Sisters, Knoxville, TN, and Cincinnati, OH Symphony Orchestras; the Officer Daniel Boyle Scholarship Fund, and the Irish American Business Chamber and Network.
Davis was born and raised Catholic in Philadelphia, PA, in a family of five children, with three brothers and one sister. He attended Cardinal Dougherty High School, furthering his education by receiving an undergraduate degree in Business Administration from LaSalle University, and a Master’s degree in Healthcare Planning and Administration from the University of Tennessee.
His efforts at tracing his family tree has brought him to Ireland several times, where over the years, he has not only found a warm welcome from his surrogate families throughout the country, but has also became familiar with its political and social challenges. Davis will continue to carry the torch of change, and hopes one day that all can live in a world where we can live the dream of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., of having “unalienable Rights” of “Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness.”
