The Coalition for a Smoke-Free New York is campaigning for smoke-free workplace legislation to cover offices, restaurants, bars, night clubs, bowling alleys and jazz clubs.
Joe Cherner, president of Smoke-Free Educational Services and media chair of the Coalition for a Smoke-Free New York, said that Smoke Free Educational Services is just one member of the Coalition for a Smoke Free New York.
The coalition has more than 100 member organizations. According to its website, those members include the Bishop’s Committee on Alcoholism, R.C. Diocese of Brooklyn, Diocese of Brooklyn, Drug Abuse Prevention Program and United Parents Association of New York City.
Cherner said that the work of Smoke Free Educational Services, a voluntary organization, is financed by members of the public.
The coalition’s address is a post office box.
