Top acts for N.J. Guinness Oyster Fest

Guinness will hold its first New Jersey Oyster Festival in Montclair, N.J., on Saturday, Sept. 23, from 1-9 p.m., at the Walnut Street Railroad Station.

Admission to the festival is free and all proceeds will benefit the Carol Baldwin Breast Cancer Research Fund.

The entertainment lineup will begin with Eileen Ivers at 1 p.m., and continue with Prodigals, Dog Voices, Black 47, and Peter Tork, formerly of the Monkees.

Buses will depart from the Morris County Mall on Ridgedale Avenue in Cedar Knolls, at 12:30 p.m., 2, 3:30, 5 and 6:30 p.m.

Getting there

€ From Rte. 280, take Exit 8/Mt. Prospect. Drive north on Mt. Prospect toward Verona/Montclair. Turn right onto Bloomfield Avenue, left onto Grove Street. Four blocks to Walnut Street.

€ From the Garden State Parkway (North or South), take Exit 151/Watchung Avenue in Montclair/Nutley. Drive west onWatchung Avenue. Turn left onto Grove Street. Walnut Street is at the second traffic light.

€ From Rte. 46 (East or West), take the Valley Road/Montclair exit. Drive South on Valley Road to Walnut Street.

€ From Rte. 3 (East or West), take the Grove Street exit. South on Grove Street to Walnut Street.
