IT Staffing, in association with Enterprise Ireland, will host the Irish Technology Career Expo, the first of its kind in North America at the Sheraton Towers Hotel in New York City on June 14 and 15 and in Boston at the Hynes Convention Center on June 17 and 18. The Expo will showcase job opportunities in Ireland and will provide high-tech professionals with an overview of what is required to relocate to Ireland.

The Expo is the leading forum for North American-based high-tech professionals to learn about career opportunities in Ireland. It will feature more than 50 of Ireland’s top high-tech companies, covering the spectrum of software, hardware, and electronics industries, and is expected to attract more than 10,000 attendees.

"We are very excited to offer high-tech professionals this unique opportunity to meet with some of Ireland’s — and the world’s — leading high-tech companies," said Shay Clancy, director of European Operations, IT Staffing. "The Irish high-tech sector is growing rapidly and offers many exciting and challenging career opportunities to qualified individuals interested in relocating to Ireland, whether they are looking to move back home or gain new experiences."

Commonly referred to as the Silicon Valley of Europe, Ireland is now the leading high-tech center outside of the United States. After the U.S., Ireland exports more software than any other country in the world and more than 40 percent of all packaged software and 60 percent of business applications software sold in Europe is produced in Ireland, according to statistics from the European Regional Development Fund.

The Irish Technology Career Expo will also feature a panel of speakers to discuss such topics as immigration, taxation, housing, moving, banking and insurance. Among the list of speakers is Eugenie Houston, author of the best-selling guide "Working and Living in Ireland.
