Toward healing, renewal

Following the 11 a.m. Mass, which was televised live on WHDH, Lennon then stepped out into the throng of protestors who have been gathering for weeks outside the cathedral. Shaking hands with sexual-abuse victims and their supporters, Lennon assured some of them that he intended to work hard toward healing and renewal.
Lennon told worshippers that they should strive to be holy. And then, alluding to the sexual-abuse scandal that has shaken the church to its foundation and ultimately led to Cardinal Law
