Tributes flow for Dave Burke

The immediate cause of death was a post-surgical infection though in recent years Burke, who was 69, had battled both prostate and colon cancer.
Burke died late Wednesday night of last week at Caritas Holy Family Hospital in Methuen.
A leading member of the Ancient Order of Hibernians, Burke was lauded by the Irish Echo in the paper’s inaugural Golden Bridges Awards event in New York in 2007
He was unable to attend at the time for health reasons but he did speak at the second Golden Bridges gathering in Boston last fall.
