Vegas visa couple awarded extension

Murray and Gould, who entered the U.S. under the Walsh Visa program, were jailed in Las Vegas earlier this year after their visa program employer wrongly accused them of having terrorist ties.
The couple are now suing the company responsible for placing Walsh visa holders in employment.
The couple’s visa extension and temporary labor certification will last through February 2003, but their Las Vegas immigration attorney is optimistic that the both Murray and Gould will be able to secure a extension beyond that time limit.

GRAND MARSHAL TO BE NAMED
Who will he or she be? The identity of the grand marshal for the 2003 New York St. Patrick’s Day Parade will be revealed on Dec. 12.
The announcement will be made at a midtown hotel, said parade executive secretary Jim Barker.
The outgoing grand marshal is Cardinal Edward Egan.
Barker said the parade board of directors would meet a few days before the announcement of the new grand marshal.
