ATLANTIC CITY — Fighting before a charged crowd of more than 8,000 raucous fans in the Atlantic City Convention Center Saturday night, Wayne McCullough proved that he remains among the top fighters under 130 pounds when he went 12 sometimes bruising rounds in a valiant but unsuccessful bid to wrest the world featherweight boxing championship from Naseem Hamed.
