The singer pulled a disappearing act during his own wedding ceremony last week. As the 530 guests filed up the aisle to receive Communion, Daniel whispered to Majella that he needed to visit the toilet. He quietly made his way off the altar and disappeared into the crowd.
As the Communion service ended, Majella waited nervously for her wee Daniel to return. The priest, noticing the empty seat, smiled and shrugged his shoulders as the congregation looked on. All of a sudden, from the choir loft at the back of the church, Daniel popped up, microphone in hand, to serenade his bride with her favorite song, “You By My Side.” We hear there wasn’t a dry eye in the house.
In more wedding news, we’ve finally found out why the bride was 40 minutes late for the ceremony at St. Mary’s Church in Kincasslagh, Co. Donegal. The bride’s limo was stuck in the driveway of the couple’s posh new home, because the property’s high-tech electric gate wouldn’t open. Hmmm . . . we thought those things were for keeping people out.
