Wills gets briefed

The hard-bodied royal was pictured recently in a pair of the skintight trunks as he played water polo on the St. Andrews University team in Scotland. But even wrapped around Will?s superfit form, the skimpy swimmers did not pass muster with GQ magazine editor Dylan Jones.
The fashion arbiter told Media Guardian, ?I think it will only confirm most men?s suspicions about Speedos — that they are fundamentally not a good thing.?
So what exactly is wrong with the suits? Jones didn?t mince his words.
?They are very old fashioned and stink of the ?70s,? he sniffed. Plus, he noted, they don?t do much to, um, enhance the total package. If you catch his drift. But Jones says that some guy can get away with the look.
?Brazilian and Italian men can,? he conceded. ?But that?s only because they are Brazilian and Italian.?
Oh.
The Speedo company naturally takes a different view of the royal endorsement. They are happy to report that the sight of the Bonny prince in their $20 water polo shorts, made with a special ?anti-grab? fabric, has left the firm ?inundated with inquiries.?
?Speedo is won by top athletes around the world,? said Paul Phedo, associate marketing director for Speedo International. ?But it?s also good to know [it] is also fit for a future king.?
