Westmeath 4-20
Rangers 0-4
By Peter Nolan
Sometimes the less said the better. The last match of Sunday’s schedule at Gaelic Park was such an occasion. Westmeath had it all their own way, decimating Rangers in Senior A action. Westmeath improved their record 4-1-1 and with 9 points ensured a berth in the playoffs.
For Rangers, one more game remains in what has been a terribly disappointing season. Last year’s Senior B champions never adjusted to the level of Senior A football and this loss, coupled with Tyrone’s victory clinches last place for the Blues.
Man of the Match: P.J. Ward.
