‘Ya gotta believe!’

New York Mets boss Fred Wilpon saw an article in Monday’s New York Daily News about Paul and Lizzie Gibbons, a Dublin-born couple living in Sunnyside who are so crazy about the Queens baseball team that they put off their planned return to Dublin last year so they could stick around for one last season.
The Gibbonses, both 36, had shelled out $140 dollars each to watch the Mets play Game 2 of the National League Divisional Series this Thursday against the Los Angeles Dodgers.
“Fred Wilpon called me up to see if we could get them free tickets to a game,” explained Mets public relations officer Shannon Dalton. It turned out she had already arranged to get the couple their tickets through her Mayo-born fianc
