Job Description: Assistant District Attorney/Chief, Violent Criminal Enterprises Unit – responsible for the investigation and prosecution of violent organized crime in New York City, including gun trafficking, narcotics and gang violence

Why I chose this career: While growing up in New York City during the 70s and 80s, street crime made parts of the city unlivable. Prosecutors play a unique role in reducing street crime by removing the worst offenders from society, while protecting law-abiding New Yorkers.

The proudest moment of my career: Working with the NYPD every day to remove hundreds of illegal handguns from the streets of New York.

I celebrate my Irish heritage by: Traveling to Ireland as often as possible; academic interest in comparative U.S./Irish/UK gang prosecutions and conspiracy law.
