OLDEST IRISH AMERICAN NEWSPAPER IN USA, ESTABLISHED IN 1928

Patrick Tully

Patrick Tully

Founder and President Pat Tully Inc.

Age: 38 (As of last week)

Place of Birth: Wall Township, NJ

Where you live: Manhattan, since 1999

First Job: Internet start-up company sales person

What it taught me: It was in the halcyon days of 1996 and the dawning of the age of the world wide web (Thank you, Al Gore). I took the job with a small salary and a big upside on commissions.

It taught me to have the courage to take risks in business and when you are selling a product, you are really selling the potential customer on you, so be yourself. I have lived that way ever since.

Status: Single

Three things people would be surprised to know about me:

1. That I am still under 40.

2. I am launching an Irish Diaspora project later this year (stay tuned)

3. I am not related to Alice Tully, legendary banker Daniel Tully or the Tully Construction Tullys.

Best advice you could give someone starting out: It can’t be said enough that you absolutely need to do something you love.

We all need to make a living, but you will never succeed unless you have a passion for doing your thing, your way, every day.

Patrick Tully grew up the youngest of four children (all sisters) in Wall Township, New Jersey. He attended Marist College where he received a BA. in Communications/Public Relations. His Irish roots, surname and great-great Grandparents come from Counties Meath, Cavan and Tipperary.

This year, he founded Pat Tully Inc. which handles public relations and marketing for professional athletes, public figures, charities and corporate brands.

He sits on the board of three not for profit foundations and is a proud volunteer for the American Ireland Fund where he was named the 2009 New York Young Leader of the year by his peers.  Mr Tully is also a professional auctioneer and lends his talents to charities and organizations around the United States
