Boyzone alum hooks up with Rocket Man

The Rocket Man has “adopted” the 26-year-old Irish singer, whose career has been stalled since the breakup of Boyzone a few years back. The elder statesman of rock flew Gately to his private retreat in the Cote d’Azure in the South of France for a relaxing vacation. Afterward, the well-rested Gately traveled to Venice to attend the birthday party of Elton’s partner, interior designer David Furnish.
Stephen has been in a bit of a funk these past few months, following his breakup with longtime partner Elois XXX. He was hailed as a positive role model for the gay community in Ireland when he “came out” at the height of his fame with Boyzone.
