Perhaps nerves got the best of Richard Coughlan in his return to the PGA Tour. Only a handful of players stood between the Co. Offaly golfer and the bottom of the leaderboard after his first round 78 in the Touchstone Energy Tucson Open in Arizona. Coughlan recovered to shoot 70 in the second round, but was four strokes off the 144 needed to make the cut.

James Loughnane and Peter Lawrie teed it up in Port Edwards, South Africa in the Nashua Nedtel Cellular Masters at the Wild Coast Sun Country Club.
Loughnane’s six-over-par 286 was marred by inconsistent play. He opened with a 68, but followed that with a 75. He closed some ground in the third round with a 67, but fell backwards on Sunday with a 76 to finish tied for 31st place. Lawrie’s 11-over 291 (66-76-72-77) earned him a share of 54th place. Mark McNulty’s 274 won the championship.
