Irvine wins Austrian Gran Prix

Irish formula one racing driver Eddie Irvine won his second race for Ferrari on Sunday in the Austrian Grand Prix.

Meanwhile, Heinz-Harald Frentzen’s finished in fourth place for Jordan Grand Prix.

The following are the standings following the Austrian Grand Prix, which was the ninth of 16 races:

1. Scuderia-Ferrari, 74 points

2. McLaren-Mercedes, 72

3. Jordan-Mugen Honda, 34

5. Benetton-Playlife, 16

6. Stewart-Ford, 12

Jordan Grand Prix is an Irish-American formula one team, and is 60 percent owned by Eddie Jordan of Bray, Co. Wicklow. The huge U.S. investment corporation E. M. Warburg Pincus & Co purchased a 40 percent stake in the team in October of last year.

The next race is the German Grand prix at Hockenheim, Germany, on Aug. 1
