Which takes another handsome bachelor off the market — even though Jlo is not, technically, in the market, since, strictly speaking, she’s still married to her former backup dancer, Chris Judd. But whatever, darlings, it’s probably just Jenny’s homage to Hollywood wedding planner emeritus, the eight-times-married-and-still-counting Liz Taylor. And Ben will look cute in a tux.
Speaking of J-Lo, we hear that the actress/singer/dancer had a close encounter of the Hibernian kind last week, and we’re happy to say that she’s up to speed on international politics. While she and Ben were in Central Park filming scenes for their new movie, “Jersey Girl,” Sinn Fein President Gerry Adams and his entourage walked by. Jennifer recognized the bearded politician and halted filming to call out a greeting.
“Gerry! Gerry!” she shouted, smiling and waving her arm at the understandably chuffed Adams. Though we’re not sure how she managed to even lift her arm, given the weight of the enormous diamond engagement ring she got from Ben.
Adams waved back, with an answering grin, and the two exchanged pleasantries before they went back to their respective tasks: Jennifer to snogging Affleck, and Gerry to enjoying the scenery in the park — secure in the knowledge that even Jenny from the Block is a fan.
