Lansdowne 3, Harps 1
Lansdowne was able to regain possession of the Cup by beating the Harps Saturday in Bronx Irish Soccer League action. Lansdowne scored first with a header by Ellen McGrail off a corner kick by Melissa Mann. Harps tied the game in the beginning of the second half with midfielder Alyson Kaye, serving a far-post ball to teammate Jane Rail, who was able to one touch into the net.
Lansdowne’s second goal came of a direct kick well outside the 18-yard line by Melissa Mann that grazed Harps’ keeper Chris Gallagher hands. The final goal was scored by Bernie Boyle to secure the win.
Shield Final
Ned Devine’s 3, Fagan’s 0
Despite Fagan’s victory last week and a strong second half, they were unable to repeat the performance in the Shield finals against Ned Devine’s.
