Off the Field GAA to mull Connacht championship

New York GAA football board members are to meet this Thursday evening at the Lansdowne in the Bronx to discuss the participation of New York in the upcoming Connacht football championship. The meeting is scheduled for 9 p.m. after the regular meeting which will kick off at 8:30.

On Thursday, Dec. 7, the GAA convention, including election of officers, will be held at the same venue and will be followed by the annual Christmas party.

Tyrone AGM

Tyrone Football Club will hold its annual general meeting on Dec. 3 at 3 p.m. in Fergus II Bar, Mosholu Avenue, Riverdale, the Bronx. Details, (718) 548-4939.

Young Irelands

Young Irelands Camogie Club will hold its millennium Christmas party and 40 years of the club’s existence on Dec. 17 from 2-6 p.m. in Cranberries, 82-02 Grand Avenue, in Queens. Santa will attend for the children. All are welcome.
