Simon says yes to Miss Ireland

That’s why the plainspoken Brit bad boy has been tapped to judge the parade of pulchritude — er, pageant — that will determine who gets to follow in the footsteps of Olivia Tracey, Michelle Rocca, et. al.
Former Miss I. Andrea Roche — who almost became the second Andrea Corr, thanks to her romance with rock star Jim Corr — has taken over the contest this year, and plans to give it a fresh new look and feel. In addition to snagging Simon, Andrea plans to kick the entertainment quotient up a notch with performances by Westlife, Bellefire and whatever other Louis Walsh-managed acts are within singing distance.
Among the new rules for this year’s competition: all entrants must be able to squeeze into a size 10 (European), which is approximately a size 8 in America. Which, we assume, means no celebratory fry-up for the winner. Simon says.
