Week, but getting stronger…

The second of Dublin’s fashion weeks took place last week; in fact, the event ran over two days in the plush Fitzwilliam hotel, where 23 Irish designers showcased designs from their 2006 collections before an invited audience of fashionistas and buyers.
“London Fashion week started in a hotel, we have to start somewhere,” said fashion week founder Sonia Reynolds in an interview with the Irish Echo last week.
For the former Irish model turned fashion PR guru, it was a natural progression.
“I feel like this is the accumulation of everything I’ve done, I felt the time was right,” Reynolds said.
Unfortunately, potential sponsors were not so enthusiastic first time around, but Reynolds was so passionate about the idea that she used her own money to finance last September’s inaugural fashion week. The gamble paid off, with the first fashion week profiting to the tune of
